Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 7
This whole scene was confusing because I think Henry and Alice starts a relationship while Henry is in prison. This context of the scene is that race doesn't matter and that everyone needs help eventually. This scene wasn't that important to me just that Alice was trying to convince Henry to take the appeal because she believe they can win this fight.

I think so too that they started a relatonship without even noticing, and at the end we do learn that the color of our skin doesn't really matter. Its kind of weird the way Alice works around him to try to make him believe in her words that everything will be fine, and through her letters she tries to let him have that confidence in her but it kind of looks like they had something going on other than a case to win!
