Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 5-9

Scene 5-9 was interesting, but confusing in some ways. The Zoot Suit book is a really good and interesting book because it was based on 38th street gangs facing a harsh trial about committing murder even though none of the members committed the crime. Also it show how the zoot suiters were treated during that era, and how the Navy officers and policemen would stripped them naked and hit them because they didn't like the Zoot Suits.

Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 9

In pages 87-95 it was confusing in some ways because of Henry Reyna, Alice and Della relation about how he felt about them, etc. Later on in the scene I learn that Rudy went to war and he was a change person, but felt guilty that he didn't went to jail because he was there and he wasn't accused of murder but his brother Henry. The context of this scene is that Henry wanted a better future for him and his family. This scene wasn't that important, just in pg. 90-91 where Henry protected his brother Rudy from going to jail.

Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 8

In this whole scene was about Henry Reyna winning the fight about the 38th street gang not being accused of murdering, also about Rdudy returning from the war. The context of this scene to show that they won and they were wrong to accused a crime that they didn't commit. This is important because a like i said before with the help of Alice, Henry won the appeal. also in this scene they are important Headlines from newspaper articles about events that occurred during the appeal and war.

Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 7

This whole scene was confusing because I think Henry and Alice starts a relationship while Henry is in prison. This context of the scene is that race doesn't matter and that everyone needs help eventually. This scene wasn't that important to me just that Alice was trying to convince Henry to take the appeal because she believe they can win this fight.

Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 6

In pages 80-81, the scene was interesting because it was focusing on the Henry and the Press how they really felt about the Zoot suits. The Press dislike the Zoot Suits, they do believe that they criminals and that they have to lock up for life but the problem is that they don't really know what really happen that night at the lagoon. The context is to show how the Press and everyone who didn't like the Zoot suit treated them with hatred and how they would destroyed everything they had on. It's important because it showed how the Navy and the police tried to bring the Zoot Suits down with faking accusations.

Zoot Suit: act 2, scene 5

In page 77 the scene between Pachuco and Henry Reyna was interesting because they argued about the appeal even though they are the same person. The context of this was that Henry is fighting this war by himself because he doesn't know what to do. It's important because like as I said he is fighting within himself, he doesn't know what life to choose, wondering what will happen when he gets out of jail will it change or will it not.
